Leigh Jason, DVM - Ross University (2012)

Dr. Leigh Jason was born and raised in the Hudson Valley of New York State.  She grew up around animals - numerous dogs, cats, horses, squirrels, birds and reptiles have felt her love and care from the time of her youth until today.

Leigh graduated from the University of Richmond in 2005 with majors in Biology and Philosophy.  An active member of Pony Club and Captain of the Richmond Equestrian Team, she went on after college to work as a veterinary technician at Rood and Riddle Equine Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky.  Intending to be an equine veterinarian, Leigh received her DVM in 2012 from Ross University.

Dr. Jason worked at a busy mixed animal practice in New York, where she developed a love for small animal surgery and a passion for educating clients about the care of their pets, leading to her decision to convert to small animal practice.

Feeling a sense of adventure, she relocated out West in 2021.  After seeing a need for quality veterinary relief coverage in the industry, Leigh started specializing in veterinary relief services in 2023.

Considering herself equally a dog-person and cat-person, Leigh shares her house with Toby the dog and 2 cats, Bart and Frank.  Outside of work, Leigh enjoys playing polo and mounted archery on her horses, Marge and Homer.  She also loves traveling, poker, and digital photography.
